Updates from some of the past recipients of the Colgate summer fellowship in pigment cell research
Vanessa and Valeria Hernandez began their freshman year this fall at the University of Washington. They are interested in both biology and business. They returned to volunteer in Dr. Cynthia Cooper’s lab this past summer and helped to collect quite a bit of data!
Fahmid Rahman is a Junior at Yale University majoring in Quantitative Biology and Math. In his “free” time, he conducts research at the Yale School of Medicine (last summer), tutors Yale students in Math and Chemistry, and volunteers at a Free Clinic in New Haven.
Emilio Sanchez is a senior at Camas High School in Camas, Washington. He is applying to various Colleges/Universities for Fall 2024. He sent his first application to Yale University a couple of weeks ago. Fahmid Rahman advised him on his application. Good luck Emilio!
Jasmine Wellborn is currently a junior majoring in Physics at the University of Toledo.
