The Colgate-Palmolive Company generously provides funding for trainees from underrepresented minority groups to conduct 10 week summer research projects focused on pigment cell biology with PASPCR supervisors. We want to share with you the 2021 interns now!

Fahmid Raman
Fahmid Raman completed his internship in Dr. Cynthia Cooper’s lab at Washington State University. Fahmid is a graduate of Mountain View High School in Vancouver, Washington and is now a Sophomore at Yale University, majoring in Molecular, Cell, Developmental Biology (Quantitative Biology Track) and Applied Math! He enjoys running outdoors, participating in STEM events and hospital volunteering. His future goals are to do STEM research.

Jasmine Welborn
Jasmine Welborn completed her internship in Dr. Ivana de la Serna’s lab at the University of Toledo, during the summer of 2021. She is a graduate of the Technology Academy in Toledo, Ohio and is now a Sophomore at the University of Toledo. In her spare time, Jasmine enjoys amateur astronomy, gaming, reading, and biking. Her future goal is to become an astrophysicist and someday work at NASA!
