American Skin Association’s (ASA) 2025 funding opportunities

Dear ASA friends:

 

We are delighted to announce American Skin Association’s (ASA) 2025 funding opportunities to support top researchers and physicians dedicated to dermatology. Through our grants, ASA has developed an almost four decade of broadening understanding and increasing knowledge of various skin diseases. We have funded hundreds of grants which have resulted in critical dermatological discoveries. ASA has proven to be a vital resource for those seeking funding for their innovative research. 

 

The following grants are offered this year: 

 

ASACalder Investigative Scientist Award in Vitiligo – $100,000

ASA Sanofi Investigative Scientist Award in Atopic Dermatitis – $100,000

ASA Sun Pharma Investigative Scientist Award – $100,000

ASA Sun Pharma Investigative Scientist Award – $100,000

ASA Research Grant in Atopic Dermatitis – $15,000

ASA Mulvaney Research Grant in Vitiligo – $15,000

ASA Christopher Andrew Te-Jiong James medical student grant- $7,000

ASA Mulvaney medical student grant in Vitiligo – $7,000

ASA Medical Student Grant in Melanoma – $7,000

The submission deadline is Friday, April 25, 2025, at 11:59 PM EST. Applications will be reviewed by ASA’s Medical Advisory Committee, which is comprised of experts in their respective fields. Award recipients will be notified in July 2025. The grant period for all awards is one year, beginning on August 1, 2025. A progress report outlining finances and research (in layman’s terms) is required at the six-month mark and upon completion.

ASA looks forward to continuing its mission of funding high-quality research that not only expands the field of dermatology but also increases the quality of life for those that suffer from skin disease.
